I like the chitti daal recipe but there is no instructions on how long to pressure cook the daal. Can the chef submit the instructions. Thanks
Reply from the Chef: For all washed daals the rule of the thumb is; pressure cook on high until the first whistle of the cooker, then turn the heat down to slow and cook for another 7 minutes, now shut-off the heat. Allow the cooker to rest for about 15 minutes before you open it....will turn out perfectly cooked. (Please do not try to cool it under running cold water, that will interfere with the cooking process.

Re: butter chicken low calorie. Can you explain what is tandoori chicken pieces you mentioned in the chef's tip in the above recipe? I am confused i thought I can buy chicken pieces from any meat shop and use.
Reply by Ajnu Rajan: Yes you are right Radha, you can buy raw chicken pieces from any meat shop and use. The tip was added to provide extra dimension to the dish.....if you were to use precooked tandoori chicken pieces it tastes even better. You can buy ready made tandoori chicken from most of the desi meat shops too. I will also be posting a recipe for home-made tandoori chicken in the weeks to come.
